HISTORY OF THE FAIR

The National Capital Antiques, Art & Design Fair (NCAADF) was first held in Ottawa in November 2019 and featured a select list of 22 exhibitors showcasing a broad range of fine quality, formal & country antiques, art, Canadiana, Quebec folk art etc., and was sponsored in part by the Canadian Antique Dealers Association (CADA). The Fair was deemed highly successful by both the exhibitors & the attendees alike, as evidenced in the review by Canadian Antiques & Vintage Magazine (as shown below). In the wake of those very positive results of the 2019 Fair, the overwhelming majority of the 2019 exhibitors signed up for the following year’s 2020 Fair, but as fate would have it both the 2020 & 2021 Fairs had to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Since then and until now, the antiques show ‘landscape’ has been profoundly lacking not only in Ottawa but also in two of Ottawa’s closest major metropolitan cities - Montreal & Toronto. Now after 6 years, we are pleased to re-establish the NCAADF as being Ottawa’s, if not Ontario’s premier antique event, showcasing a growing roster of established dealers from both Ontario & Quebec, offering a broad selection of quality merchandise to both avid collectors, as well as to those seeking to accent their homes with all manner of unique genre design choices.
